Why do all political races have to devolve into mudslinging? What is it about politics that makes it less about the issues and more about which candidate is an evil, horrible, untrustworthy person because of someone they may or may not have known when they were eleven?
Anytime I read anything about Democratic politics, it inevitably boils down to Senator Hillary Clinton’s camp slinging mud at Senator Barak Obama. How can we Americans make an educated vote for the betterment of our country when the issues aren’t being debated? Personally, I don’t see how whether or not a candidate wore matching socks to a high school dance pertains to how said candidate will run the country (note the sarcasm, I don’t know if either Democratic candidate wears socks at all).
Known as the politician that will say anything we want to hear to get our votes, Hillary must have gotten exhausted with lip service and has moved on to different tactics. Now she’s become a party of the “don’t focus on me or the fact that I don’t make a clear stand on any issues, let’s point out the flaws in my opponent’s character” line. I think it speaks volumes for Senator Obama that, as of now, he hasn’t joined in the grade school name calling and retaliated with some character slamming of his own. We all know he wouldn’t have to try that hard — Clinton fodder is ripe for the slinging.
My political allegiances aside, it’s refreshing not have to deal with all the mudslinging from the Republican side of the board — Senator McCain is wisely staying out of it. Well, until Clinton or Obama wins the Democratic ballot and then bust out the mud flaps and let the slinging begin again.

so far i dont see obama doing any better job with the economy than it has been when he picked up. US$ still at record low
