What If?
by Ronald A. Rowe July 7th, 2009 | Democratic Deliberations, General Politics, Presidential News, Republican ReflectionsThis week, just for fun, let us consider a “What If?” scenario. What if the right-wing extremist conspiracy-theory nut jobs (RWECTNJs) are right about President Obama’s birth certificate? I know, I know. These are the same tinfoil hat wearers who argue that the moon landing was faked and the government is holding bigfoot’s skeleton next to the bodies of the Roswell aliens. But for the sake of this exercise, just go with me.
In case you tune out the rumblings of the RWECTNJs, there has been a constant stream of rumor, conjecture, and innuendo that perhaps The
Taking Offense
by Ronald A. Rowe June 2nd, 2009 | General Politics, Political Opinions, Presidential News
I’m offended. Actually offended. I’m not the easily-offended type. I don’t think I’m even the regular-offended type. It takes a lot to truly offend me. I may not agree with you. I may not like what you say. But to find something at which I actually take offense just doesn’t happen every day.
And then along comes Sonia Sotomayor, President Obama’s choice to be the next Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States of America. She’s a far-left liberal who’s interpretation of the Constitution differs from my own in nearly every

The point is that I don’t disagree just to disagree, but the President and I have found little common ground in his first 100 days in office.
And it looked like

Fly Over Fallout
by Ronald A. Rowe May 12th, 2009 | Presidential News
Remember the Air Force One fly over of New York City that caused such a ruckus a few weeks back? Well, don''t hold your breath waiting for those stunning photos of Air Force One against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty to be released any time soon. The Publicist in Chief has decided that the pictures are now classified and will not be released to the public.
Questions abound in my mind. The obvious thought is that the President is embarrassed by the monumental stupidity of the stunt and does not want the decision to fly an

Political Guru Kal Penn
by Ronald A. Rowe April 14th, 2009 | Political Humor, Presidential News
President Obama took a bold step this week. In order to shore up America’s flagging confidence in the state of the economy, protect our borders from foreign attack, and regain our standing among the world powers, the president hired actor Kal Penn as a PR liaison.
Penn, widely heralded as an expert on world affairs because he’s been on TV, took a huge pay cut from his gig on TV’s House in order to accept a position at the White House. He joins ambassadors Angelina Jolie and Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High as three of
