Immigration Situation

by Eric M. Blake June 29th, 2012 Conservative Considerations, Presidential News
(A note to the readers: I apologize for my late posting.  Problems involving the weather prevented me from getting my internet access back until now.  Don’t worry— events these past few days have inspired the following piece.  I hope it was worth the wait.)

The audacity of this president never ceases to amaze me.  It’s reached the point where he’s asking— and I’m trying hard to write this with a straight face… he’s asking newlyweds… to forgo their wedding presents… and instead, tell their guests to instead make a donation… to the OBAMA CAMPAIGN!!!

Really, this is the kind of thing

This Week on Winners and Losers

by Ronald A. Rowe June 27th, 2012 Winners & Losers
It was another eventful week on the political stage. Like a good episode of any quality drama, some answers were doled out while other questions were raised. Old friends and new faces came to the forefront. And, like a good episode of any quality drama, there will be more next week.

by Jason Lightner June 26th, 2012 Independent Ideas
You know what's interesting about visiting a foreign land? You're an outsider, a stranger – a minority. You're not part of the crowd, and you stick out like a sore thumb. As luck would have it, I'm not terribly uncomfortable in situations such as these. I do, however, have a short fuse when it comes to people crossing the line, so on several occasions, I had to exercise a good deal of restraint and keep my trap shut.

You see, racism against whites is about as rampant in Zimbabwe as it is against blacks in West Virginia. I've read stories,

Attorney General Eric Holder Needs to Be Fired

by T Akery June 25th, 2012 Political Opinions, Presidential News
Republicans in Congress have called for and gotten a vote of contempt against Eric Holder because he has flat out lied to them about Fast and Furious. Even though the President has stepped in and offered a measure of protection to Holder, his next action should be a pink slip. Looking at Eric Holder's record as Attorney General is the justifiable reason for his firing. The Fast and Furious problem is the tip of the iceberg when it comes down to the major mistakes that the Attorney General and his office have made.

The first major mistake basically happened over

Zimbabwe Exposé Part III: Followup

by Jason Lightner June 22nd, 2012 Independent Ideas, World Politics
I'd like to begin with some followup to last week's article on the street children in Zimbabwe, and beggars in general. You see, I've received some responses about my insensitivity toward the "poor children" and how I can certainly afford to give these kids, or any of the beggars a dollar. After all, it's just a dollar.

Let me pose a question. Do you give a dollar to the homeless in this country? Do you? Don't lie to yourself. You know exactly what you do – you pretend you don't see the alcoholic Army vet on the median, holding
