On Memorial Day we just want to pause to thank the Veterans who fought to protect our freedoms. Their sacrifice made the American Dream possible. We officially confer an ALL-TIME WINNERS AWARD to the veterans of the military forces on behalf of the American people, even the ones who don't appreciate them.
WINNERS:
Mitt Romney
Mitt Romney is the big winner of the week. Despite his frequent missteps in the past (e.g. "I like firing people."), Romney is surging in the polls. His current popularity has more to do with his opponent than anything that Romney has actually said or done,

Conservative Considerations
I guess every one of us has a few personal traditions of our own — a few personal rituals, that we formed ourselves, just because. In some cases, “just because” we care.
For me … I guess it’s become a tradition of mine, to call out to anyone in uniform — or a veteran — who passes by, with a simple, honest, “Thanks for serving!” Sometimes I wave, sometimes, I give a humble salute.
They deserve at least that much. Heck, they deserve more — a lot more. Some reading this, are old enough to remember the disgraceful treatment the veterans of Vietnam so often

On July 20th, a film titled The 40-Point Plan will be released in theaters, chronicling a near future where the problems of hunger, poverty and homelessness are all solved within a matter of months. Could a plan, like that described in the film, actually work in the real world?
The film proposes solving many of the world's ills by gathering a group of 20 business people, scholars and scientists under Warren Buffet. In the movie, the group forms NECA (The National Employment Corporation of America), which provides the necessities of life (food, clothing, shelter) for free to those in need
