For all of its hard work, it's good to see the U.S. media finally noticing the efforts of fledgling organization WikiLeaks. On Sunday, November 28, the organization released over 250,000 classified U.S. diplomatic cables (communications) and are set to release more information in the coming days.
The initial reaction to the release is quite astonishing. The United States government is, of course, in full-on panic mode and is essentially calling these guys terrorists. I suppose that's an appropriate title considering the government may very well be scared so much that perhaps it will stop trying to be the

Warning: Rant ahead.
The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees us freedom from illegal search and seizure. This means that the government cannot search or take anything on our person without probable cause that we are in violation of some sort of law. Why is it, then, that we as Americans are so willing to let a TSA agent grope us in public, or let them scan our nude bodies in search of weapons when they are in clear violation of the Constitution?
Have we all lost our friggin' minds in this country? It used to be

Mid Term Message

The mid-term election is over. We, the People have spoken. And President Obama assures us that he got the message loud and clear. Unfortunately, the message he got doesn’t sound anything like the one We, the People sent.
He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Questioned, in a variety of interviews and through the White House Spokesman, has given an array of interpretations of the mid-term election results. Any one of which is insulting. Taken together, they represent the latest example of his unbelievable hubris. In no particular order:

Wow. Good going, California. You guys really did it. First gay marriage, now this? For a state that prides itself on being progressive, you guys sure know how to keep the status quo, don't you? No worries, though. Let's just keep imprisoning people for non-violent crimes and keep the gang-warfare going, shall we?
In case you haven't heard, Proposition 19 (the Regulate, Control & Tax Cannabis Act) was defeated with 54% of California voters voting "no." If it were to have been passed, it would have legalized certain quantities of marijuana and allowed the government to regulate and tax the

On Saturday, October 30th, the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear was held at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Hosted by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, the event drew an impressive 215,000 people (according to CBS News). This is especially impressive when compared to other demonstrations that have occurred in the recent past, such as the Tea Party's Restoring Honor Rally (hosted by Glenn Beck), which drew roughly 87,000 (according to CBS News).
The mainstream media has done a good enough job covering this event, so I won't. I'd like to, however, give some commentary on the
